The Boat
Rumbaba is a 37.5' sleek Hunter Legend. Designed in
1989 as a racer/cruiser she offers fast and spirited
sailing as well as a comfortable ride. Her speed
often allows her to reach destinations unavailable to
other day sail charters. Originally a lake Michigan
boat she has won many a race, including the prestigious
Mackinaw race. She was brought to the Virgin
Islands specifically to be a day sail charter boat so
that you too may experience the joy of sailing on
her.

The crew
Captain Bobby originally from New England is a
U.S.C.G. Licensed Master Captain. With years of
experience on the ocean he will sail you safely and to "your" comfort level. A graduate of the University of
New Hampshire he paid for college by commercial
fishing in the summertime on his 42' wooden boat. As
an athlete and lover of the outdoors he went on
to become a professional ski instructor and coach at
the resorts of Killington, VT., Park City, Ut.,Sun
Valley, Id., and Alpine Meadows, Lake Tahoe. He later
spent time in medical research and as a motion picture
transportation coordinator and captain. Always having
the dream to live and sail full time in the Caribbean
he is now living his dream. Bobby's love of sailing
and the Islands is contagious. A very capable Captain,
he will entertain you with stories and the history of
the Islands.
Mate Karen is the creative spirit behind Rumbaba
Charters. With an extensive professional background in
catering, marketing and sales she will make your day
